Sunday, January 24th, 2010Been very busy all week!
Thursday, January 21st, 2010I don’t know what’s come over me – getting up by 5: 30 all week – I’ve seen the sunrise 4 times this week! And I’ve been very productive. Attached are some photo of a few class samples I finished. All of these are samples for my upcoming classes at Bear’s Paw in Towson.
Machine Trapunto…
I am especially pleased with the 4 more pocket purses I completed!
Also finished and bound that very purple machine quilting sample. The thread is lime green and its actually much more purple than this photo shows! A narrow green flange highlights the binding – just to set it off a bit.
Next week – I think I’ll work on sleeping a little more – at least til after 7 – wish me luck!
Starry Block of the Month Quilt
Sunday, January 10th, 2010Attached is the final version of my new Block-Of-The-Month Quilt. starry night BOM quilt This is slightly different from the previous picture so you may want to print it for reference.
I had a lot of fun making the quilt and hope everyone enjoys the patterns. I’ve put a photo of the finished top on my website under the gallery pages and shop pages too. Its not quilted yet… no big surprise, right?!
The following PDFs are the supply list, Starry BOM 1st page
the center applique block so you’ll have plenty of time to work on it! Make sure when printing that you check “no scaling” in your printer options – otherwise the sizes may change.

and the first star block, the Friendship Star.
Look for the next block on February 10th. And please send me pictures of your work. I would love to post them in this blog!! Have fun!
Re-Purposing stuff or reducing our carbon footprint
Thursday, January 7th, 2010Someone told me you can re-purpose those plastic grocery bags – and not just by using them as liners for your smaller cans… If you are a knitter or crochet guru, you can actually make bags and more out of those pesky plastic grocery bags. I do neither but am thoroughly impressed just the same!

New class, gallery item!
Saturday, January 2nd, 2010Come and check out the new addition to my workshops and gallery pages! I have uploaded better pictures of those tiny purses (renamed Pocket Purses). I blogged about in December and have since finished quite a few. They are just adorable as well as functional! I just love them! And happily, I will be teaching them at Bear’s Paw in Towson in March.
